GreenFest is committed to helping everyone in the County explore their path to a greener life.
For some, GreenFest could be the first step towards discovering more about their environment, while others may be further along their path, looking for ideas on how to reduce their footprint. And for the “Dark Greens”, GreenFest is a place to share ideas and meet other innovators. GreenFest is where all of these different groups come together, learn together and celebrate together.
Please Note: Photos and/or videos will be taken at the Montgomery County GreenFest for use by the members of the GreenFest committee in future education and event outreach.
Montgomery County will provide sign language interpreters and other auxiliary aids or services upon request — with as much advance notice as possible, preferably at least three (3) business days before GreenFest. Contact Jessica Jones at 240-777-7753 (voice) or send a request to email@example.com. Taking these steps will help us have sufficient time to best meet your needs.
How We “Walk the Walk” at GreenFest
The GreenFest commitee believes in following through on our mission throughout the planning stages and the day-of-logistics of GreenFest. Here’s some of the ways that we reduce the footprint of GreenFest:
Day of composting! to reduce food waste at GreenFest 2017. We are partnering with with Veteran Compost to reduce food waste at GreenFest 2017. Veteran Compost is a veteran-owned small business focused on collecting and composting food scraps. Veteran Compost is proud to hire veterans and their family members to help make great organic compost at their compost sites.
Our website is designed to limit printing needs on the day of the event. Use the website scheduler to find activities and where you need to go!
Going green is for everyone! We are dedicated to making GreenFest available to everyone in the County. The event is free, accessible and provides accommodations for those who need assistance (with 5 days notice!). There will be 2 free accessible shuttle buses to take attendees from the Shady Grove Metro Station and Lake Forest Transit Center to the event.
