The Montgomery County GreenFest has been honored with a 2017 National Association of Counties Award and a 100 Brilliant Ideas at Work Award! Congrats to all the partners who helped make our winning possible.
The Montgomery County GreenFest won for the category of “County Resiliency: Infrastructure, Energy & Sustainability”. GreenFest was selected to receive an award because of its commitment to partnerships, community engagement and innovation.
On top of the NACo Achievement Award, we also received an exclusive 100 Brilliant Ideas at Work Award. Of all the 2017 awardees, only 100 were selected for special recognition as “visionary county leadership that results in improving residents’ quality of life”.
While the award winners were announced in May, Montgomery County held its celebration of all the County award winners in on December 13, 2017 at the Silver Spring Civic Building.
