Household Battery recycling collection at 2026 GreenFest
We are excited to announce that we will be providing a battery recycling collection at 2026 GreenFest.
Help reduce the risk for trash fires while aiming towards zero waste by bringing unwanted or no longer usable household alkaline batteries and certain types of rechargeable batteries for special recycling drop-off at 2026 GreenFest. These types of household batteries will be accepted for recycling drop-off:
- Household alkaline batteries (AA, AAA, C, D, 9-volt)
- Lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries
- Rechargeable Nickel-Cadmium (NiCd) batteries
Please, do not bring the following:
- no damaged, corroded, or leaking batteries
- no lead-acid batteries (car, boat, RV batteries)
- no batteries from e-scooters or lawn mowers
- no uninterruptible power supply or uninterruptible power source batteries
DEP reserves the right to reject any non-acceptable batteries.
